In 1998 we established Savor the Flavor out of our love for trying and enjoying new food and sharing the experience with friends and family. We grew up around dinner tables---especially Holiday Dinner tables---laden with festive, once-a-year goodies, topped with gaily wrapped gifts, festooned with crystal and linen, and loud with laughter and enjoyment. So we have attended the Fancy Food Shows each year in New York, San Francisco and Chicago; we’ve sampled all the foods judged as “Winners” by the chefs, restaurateurs and retailers of the National Association of Specialty Food Trade (NASFT), and selected our own personal favorites.

Our goal has been to find the best tasting, most unusual and interesting specialty foods and gourmet gifts we could, and offer them to any and all who share our passion. Are we hoping to rekindle memories of wonderful meals gone by? Probably. But we also realize that things have changed and that few families have the time required to find the components of really special meals very often. Or to search out that unique gift for the person who has everything.
